McLennan has a responsibility, under the Health & Safety at Works Act 1974, to ensure that it has arrangements in place in order to effectively manage risks within the workplace.
In order to ensure that we meet and exceed these requirements, the Board of Directors are committed to ensuring that managing Health & Safety remains at the forefront of our day to day business planning and business operations. McLennan H&S policy defines our commitment to good Health & Safety practices and details the processes we will undertake in order to meet our corporate responsibilities.McLennan wholly embrace the contents of our Health and Safety Policy and have clearly communicated its contents to all our employees and sub-contractors. We audit, review, and where necessary revise our policies and associated procedures, annually and when there are changes in legislation or work practices.Our aims are as follows: –
- To meet and exceed the requirements specified within UK Health & Safety legislation.
- To maintain an effective management system.
- To provide a comprehensive Risk Assessment system and periodically review it to ensure its effectiveness.
- To implement a robust system of active monitoring and risk control measures which ensure safe working practices are in place.
- To provide effective training throughout the organisation.
- To monitor health & safety statistics and take action where appropriate.
- To consult with colleagues and stakeholders with regards to the policy and its implementation throughout the business.
