McLennan Group recently engaged in a contract with the iconic British brand Eddie Stobart Limited (ESL). The contract sees McLennan Group address and maintain ESL’s Electrical Compliance in over 40 sites across the UK.
Our nation-wide contract involves offering a range of electrical testing compliance services, designed specifically for Brandon Hire. McLennan Group’s vast experience and dedicated team members allow us to deliver and exceed expectations of the Brandon Hire group.
Electrical compliance is a legal obligation for businesses across the UK, with penalties for non-compliance ranging from fines to imprisonment. Current legislation requires regular testing of all electrical equipment to ensure employees are protected and risks are reduced across business’ premises.
Our responsibility includes the provision of electrical compliance services creating a moldable service plan that suits the ESL’s specific needs. Since the initial contract mobilisation, McLennan Group have submerged ourselves into the company’s goals and visions. Drawing upon our expert team of engineers, technicians and project managers, the ESL package includes an extensive range of compliance testing covering the likes of fire alarms, gas appliances and HV transformers.
McLennan Group provides Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) for ESL, regularly inspecting and testing electrical equipment at the sites as per the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 to ensure the safety of employees and site visitors.
To avoid any potentially life threatening situations, McLennan Group inspect the fire extinguishers at ESL sites to ensure the equipment present across the sites are in optimum working condition. This requires visual inspection as well as maintenance inspections to ensure each fire extinguisher is code compliant.
McLennan Group also ensures the fire alarm systems are continuously appropriate for the business premises. The fire alarm systems provided by McLennan are ‘Open Protocol’ to give full ownership and control to our customers so they can choose who maintains their system.
Our in-house team provides a full range of electrical inspections, including emergency escape lighting system inspections. Our fully qualified team of electricians ensure the design and maintenance is the most cost effective and that all systems meet the current British Standards Requirements.
