What is electrical testing?
Electrical testing is all about the safety and efficiency of the electrical devices you use on your premises – it helps to ensure that all the onsite equipment is safe to use whilst also keeping your business compliant to all the current legal standards. Fixed Testing involves the testing of electrical services and systems that conduct electricity around a building. It covers all of the fixed wiring in a building and includes items such as main panels, distribution boards, lighting, socket outlets, air conditioning and other fixed plant. We can also carry out thermographic imaging to identify any overheating equipment, which could be wasting energy within the premises. PAT testing is about ensuring the safety of portable appliances, giving you peace of mind that your personnel can use equipment without any unnecessary danger, and meeting your obligations to have electrical devices tested on a regular basis.
What are the benefits of regular electrical testing?
Current legislation states that electrical equipment has to be tested regularly. By conforming to these standards this will help to protect employees on an ongoing basis from any harmful equipment. It reduces the electrical risk for workers by detecting faults that could otherwise pass unnoticed. Regular service visits will also help to reduce maintenance costs by preventing any major faults with any onsite electrical equipment. It is also a great way to keep insurance rates at a minimum.
